Seek the Lord himself

Praying from the heart of God“When we talk about prayer, our instinctive response is to think of prayer as asking God for things (even the salvation of the Lost). We need to move from seeking the Lord for things to seeking the Lord for himself,” said Lee Brase, Director of The Navigators’ Prayer Ministry.

I had a chance to catch up with Lee during his short stopover in Singapore before proceeding to Kuala Lumpur to pray with Navigator prayer coordinators from Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, East Asia and Malaysia.

Lee coauthored with Henry Helsabeck the NavPress Bible study guide Praying from God’s Heart . I first met the man of prayer in 1987 as a Navigator trainee at the now defunct Leadership Development Institute at Glen Eyrie. He was already teaching and leading by example praying from the heart of God.  - AK
