Singapore Polytechnic Navigators Alumni testimonies

The gathering organised by a few Singapore Polytechnic Navigator alumni in 2007 was warm, spontaneous, and encouraging. There was a good mix of those from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

Not just a good beginning…

“I surrendered and dedicated my life to God when I was with the SP Navigators. The one who followed me up tirelessly and relentlessly was May…Over the years, we have kept our friendship. Whatever the Navigator have taught me, I remember it in my heart and I still walk faithfully with the Lord. I’m thankful for my leaders who have been faithfully praying for me…Now a lot of us still meet very often to encourage one another and disciple others together…As I look back, I’m thankful for everything. I hope that I do not only begin well, but also finish well.” - Casey

What keeps me going

“What encourages me all these years is seeing my leaders still walking with the Lord even though they have been through a lot of ups and downs in life. It’s amazing. They got married and have children - you know raising children nowadays is such a headache! But no matter what they have been through in life, they kept their faith and knew that God is able to help and guide - not just when they were students, but also now that they are adults, mothers, and dads…

My leaders encouraged me a lot by being good models in life. They have done a great job.” - Koh Shiuan

I’m doing what I’ve caught and learned

“I came to know the Lord in 1976. Chew Siew Hua shared to me the gospel on the very first day that I went to Poly…Looking back all these years, I’ve never regretted that step of faith that I’ve taken to believe in Jesus. I thank God for the people he has put in my life. Siew Hua followed me up for two years with Bible studies and taught me with the foundations of the Navigators. By his grace I am still walking with the Lord and I’m doing what I’ve caught and learned from the Navigators - sharing Jesus to others.” - Sock Lan
